Bettie Marguerite Wingo

Obituary: Bettie Marguerite Wingo, 89, a resident of Big Elm in Kannapolis, died peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday. She was born Oct. 11, 1924, in Kansas City, MO. to Fred and Beulah Wingo. She was a retired Federal Employee. Bettie was a member of St. James The Greater Catholic Church of Concord where sang in the choir. Bettie was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Michele Kelemecz. She is survived by her daughters, Terrie Kelemecz (David) of Concord and Diane McCauley of Virginia. Six grandchildren, Karen Burnett(Randy), Andrew Kelemecz, Alex Kelemecz, Brian Nett, Sarah Rodjom (Matthew), David McCauley, and five great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday February 8, 2014 at St. James The Greater Catholic Church. The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 A.M. prior to the service. Burial will follow at the St. James The Greater Catholic Church Cemetery. Memorials can be made to St. James The Greater Catholic Church, 139 Manor Ave Concord, NC 28027.
