Betty Louise (Measimer) Bryant

December 10, 1931 — July 16, 2020

Denver

Betty Louise Measimer Bryant, 88, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday afternoon, July 16, 2020, from Accordius Health at Mooresville, following a period of declining health.

Betty was born December 10, 1931, in Concord and was a daughter of the late Stacey Hubbard and Nonie Lee Davis Measimer.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Eugene Bryant; her daughter, Darlene Phillips; 7 brothers and 3 sisters.

Mrs. Bryant was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and was a wonderful homemaker.  Betty loved all of her family and enjoyed time spent with them. A Godly woman, Betty, along with her husband, had been a traveling preacher. She loved gospel music and was gifted in playing the accordion and piano. She enjoyed playing for the residents at the nursing home and they enjoyed her doing so. Although in a much better place today, Betty will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family members left with cherished memories include her son, Stephen Mark Gainey; her sister, Lillie Russell; her much loved grandchildren, Crystal Dickerson (Jeff), Samantha Smith (Dwayne), Angie Scruggs (Jonathan) and Anthony Holloway; and 7 great grandchildren.

Private memorial services will be held at a late date.

For those who may prefer, memorials may be made in Mrs. Bryant’s name to Wexford House Assisted Living, 3900 Wexford Lane, Denver, NC 28037.
