Betty Graham Burris

Obituary: Betty Graham Burris, 69, of Kannapolis, died Friday, August 17 at her residence following a period of declining health. Mrs. Burris was born on February 8, 1943 in Catawba County, North Carolina, a daughter of Louise Honeycutt Graham Schell of Conover, and the late Howard Graham. Mrs. Burris was a graduate of Lenoir-Rhynne College and previously taught school at Odell Elementary School. She enjoyed reading and frequent visits to the local farmers market. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2012, at 2:00PM in the chapel at Whitley's Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Hubbard officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel foyer following the services. In addition to her mother, Betty is survived by two sons; Bill Burris and wife Jodi of Kannapolis, and Bob Burris and wife Lisa of NC., 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, two sisters, Judy Graham Watson and Alice Graham Jones, a brother; David Graham and several nieces and nephews.
