Obituary: Betty Joann McIntyre Caster, age 63, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Carolinas Healthcare System-NorthEast, Concord, NC surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 13, 1953 in Guilford County, NC, the daughter of the late John Robert McIntyre and Viola Bell Wensil McIntyre. She married her husband, Jerry Wayne Caster, Sr. Betty was employed with Becca Industries, Concord, NC for many years due to her early retirement due to disability. She was also an active member of Fisher Street Baptist Church, Concord, NC. Betty was a devoted mother and wife to her family. She loved dancing, a passion for thrift store shopping, and spending time outdoors. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son, Jerry Wayne Caster, Jr. who went to be with Jesus in 2003. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Carolina Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum, Kannapolis, NC.conducted by Rev. Mike Smith. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM prior to the memorial service at the chapel. Survivors in addition to her husband include her children, Donna Caster Wagoner & husband, Jesse; Christina Caster Presutti & husband, Owen; and Michael Caster; her grandchildren, Heather Evans, Austin Caster, Chase Caster, Kearstin Caster, Zachary Nesbitt, Owen Presutti, Jarrad Presutti, Kadin Presutti, and Karrisa Presutti; her siblings, Frances McIntyre Black, Patsy McIntyre Shelley, Sherry McIntyre Bryan, and James Lee McIntyre; and many nines and nephews that she loved dearly. In lieu of flowers the family asked that memorials be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081 where Jerry is a patient.
