Obituary: Betty Lou Beaver Deese,70, of Kannapolis, NC died Saturday, December 5, 2009 at CMC-NorthEast Medical Center, Concord. She had been in declining health but death was unexpected. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Joey Spry and a brother, Rev. Larry Beaver. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home Wednesday, from 6:30-8:30 P.M. At other times the family will be at the residence of a daughter, Tina Brown of Kannapolis. Mrs. Deese was born September 6, 1939 in Rowan County, NC daughter of the late Charlie W. Beaver and Elsie Mae Childress Beaver. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers and going to the beach. She loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her Husband: Bobby Kenneth Deese of the Home, Three Daughters: Tina Brown and Husband Tony of Kannapolis, Elisa Grimes of the Home, and Lou Ann Thompson of China Grove. One Son, Rick Mitchell and Wife Judy of Concord, Two Brothers: Rev. Larry Beaver and Wife Elizabeth of Troy, NC, and Charlie Beaver, Jr. and a Sister, Helen Childers of Rockwell. Seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a Sister: Nancy McKnight. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that anyone desiring to do so may make donations to Whitley's Funeral Home to assist in funeral expenses.
