Betty J. Dixon

Obituary: Betty J. Dixon, 80, of Kannapolis, passed away, Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Tucker Hospice House. A memorial service will be held at a later date. She was born December 11, 1938 in Cabarrus Co. to the Late Conway Hayes and Edna Lowder Hayes. Betty worked at Cannon Mills for many years in the wash cloth room, she enjoyed crocheting watching food channel and NASCAR races. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Lavern Dixon, her son Joey "Joe" Dixon, brother, Jerry R. Hayes Sr., sister, Phyllis Ledbetter and a nephew Randy Ledbetter. Those left to cherish her memory, a grandson Jerret Joe Dixon, granddaughter Jessica Preston (William), great granddaughter, Alyssa Jade Preston and many nieces and nephews, her second family God gave her, sons, Charlie Baker, Robert Earnhardt, daughter, Gladys Earnhardt, grandchildren, Amy Earnhardt, David Oliver, Angie and Billy Wilkins, great grandchildren, Devin, Jacob, Zoey, and her church family at New Beginning Community Worship Center.
