Betty Jean Walters Everhart 81 , of Concord went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ surrounded by her family on Thursday, Oct 31. Born in Cabarrus County she was the daughter to the late Homer "Red" Franklin Walters and Hazel Knight Walters. She was also preceded in death by husband Thurman “Wayne” Everhart, her daughter Gloria “Sissy” Everhart Harker, three brothers, Frank Walters ,Colin Walters, Harvey “Butch” Walters and her sister Brenda Walters Taylor.
Survivors include her daughter, Terry Everhart Morgan & husband Randy, Hampstead , NC , Son, Danny Everhart, daughter Brenda Brooks. Grandchildren Katrina Chandler Brennan (Doug) whom she lived with, Melanie Chandler, Gary Patterson, Derek Everhart, Tony Everhart and Travis Everhart and 8 great grandchildren.
Betty retired from Cannon Mills and then again retired from Eastwood Baptist Church where she loved on many children in Eastwood Baptist Kiddie College. They lovingly called her Betty Bop. She loved all “her babies” there. She was a Momma and a Granny to everyone.
Betty loved the lord and she loved her church Broadus Memorial Baptist in Concord. She especially loved her Sunday school class and her pastor Rodney Quesenberry.
Her celebration of life will be at 1:30 PM Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Broadus Memorial Baptist Church, 56 Green St SW, Concord, NC officiated by Rev. Rodney Quesenberry. Her family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM prior at the church.
