Betty Litaker Furr

Betty Litaker Furr, 91, of Kannapolis, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 17, 2024 after a period of declining health.

Betty was born on November 2, 1932 in Cabarrus County. She was a cherished daughter of the late Newton “Pharr” Litaker and Clara Bell Smith Litaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Manuel D. Furr; daughter, Teri Roxanne Perry; sisters Margaret Seaford, Hilda Morris, Gladys Litaker, and Virginia Beaver; and brother, Carl Litaker.

Betty was a homemaker who loved raising her three children. She was a devoted member of St. Enoch Lutheran Church. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Eric Dale Furr; daughter, Toni Adcock; she was also blessed with 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm – 2:15 on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis. Service will begin at 3:00pm on Sunday, at St. Enoch Lutheran Church. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
