Betty Sue Patterson Goodman

Obituary: Salisbury, NC Mrs. Betty Sue Patterson Goodman, 75, of 9125 Old Concord Road, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, following a period of declining health. She was born July 26, 1934 in Cabarrus County, NC daughter of the late John Parr Patterson and Hazel Raye Davis Patterson. She was a member of the first graduating class of A.L. Brown High School. Prior to retirement she was employed at Cannon Mills Plant #1 in the Sheet Dept. as a hemmer. Mrs. Goodman was a member of North Kannapolis United Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher and a member of the Molly Marshall Circle. Her hobbies included making and painting crafts and cooking for her family and friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 6, 2010 at North Kannapolis United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Tommy Conder, pastor. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Whitley's Funeral Home Wednesday, May 5, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. At other times the family will be at the residence. Survivors include her husband: John Reid Goodman, Sr. of the Home. Two Sons: John Reid Goodman, Jr. and wife Rhonda of Rockwell, Michael Ray Goodman and wife Susan of Lawrenceville, Ga. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Christopher , Megan and Jeremy Goodman. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 503 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
