Betty Mcdaniel Haynes

Obituary: Betty McDaniel Haynes, age 84, of Mooresville died Thursday, January 30, 2014 at CMC-NE after one and a half years of declining health. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leon Hawks officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, February 1. Betty was born June 19, 1929 in Cabarrus Co., the daughter of the late Carl H. and Annie Paige McDaniel. She was a lifelong area resident and member of N. Kannapolis Baptist Church. Betty was employed with Cannon Mills as a cutter for 35 years until retiring. She will always be remembered for her love of the outdoors and nature. She is survived by her son, Carl Haynes and girlfriend Rita Love, (who was a caregiver to Betty) of Mooresville, her grandsons; Jason Haynes (Christy) of Zeeland, MI and Jarett Haynes of Kannapolis and her great-grandchildren Colton, Braydeen and Skylar.
