Betty Whitley Hudson Ranson

Obituary: Betty Louise Whitley Hudson Ranson, 80, of Kannapolis passed away on January 18, 2019 at the Tucker Hospice House. She was born in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late Clifford Lee Whitley and Fronie Alma Thompson Whitley. She was preceded in death by husbands, Quinnin Hudson in 2004 and James Lee Ranson in 2018. She was also preceded by a brother, Graham Whitley and sisters, Hettie Campbell and Sue Barker. Betty had worked at Cannon Mills in the Sheet Dept for 37 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Enochville. Betty enjoyed gardening, canning and sewing. She loved spending time with her family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 21, 2019 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Lewis Whittington. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 1 to 2 prior. She is survived by a daughter, Rita Hudson Goins-Auten (Gary), son, Randy Dale Hudson (Cherri), 3 grandchildren, Amanda Ross (John), Bryan Hudson (Ashly), Randall "Scott" Goins (Liz), 5 great grandchildren, Caleb, Jaden, Logan, Charlotte, Lily, sisters, Pauline Melton, Judy Tyner and brothers, Robert Whitley, Ernie Whitley, Chase Whitley.
