Betty Jean Moon Saye

Obituary: Betty Jean Moon Saye, 80, of Kannapolis, died on Thursday, May 3, 2018. She was born Jan. 10, 1938 to the late Loyd H. Moon and the late Zuline Gray Moon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Frances Brown and Florence Pauline Brackett, and brothers, Kenneth Moon and Lloyd J. Moon. She was born and raised locally, and was a graduate of A.L. Brown. She worked for 31 years with Overnight Transportation in Charlotte and later in Richmond, VA. Betty is survived by daughters, Cathy Foard (Steve) of Indian Trail, Deresa Sherrill(Kevin) of Belmont, a son, Mike Saye (Jill) of Lewisville, and a brother, Tony Moon(Donna) of Kannapolis. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held to honor Ms. Saye on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 11:00am, at Carolina Memorial Park 601 Mt. Olivet Rd, Kannapolis, NC 28083
