Obituary: Kannapolis - Beulah Mae Wike Barnhardt, 97, of 108 Cedar Ave. Kannapolis died Monday June 1, 2009 at Five Oaks Nursing Ctr. Concord. She was born June 20, 1911 in Alexander County the daughter of the late Robert and Sylester Mitchell Wike. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy B. Barnhardt June 27, 1990. She was a homemaker that took pride in her loving family. She was a member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 PM Wednesday June 3, 2009 at Whitley's Funeral Home. Her funeral will follow at 3:00 PM Wednesday at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel officiated by Rev. Richard Rhoades. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park. At other times the family will be at her home. She is survived by her son Roy. B. Barnhardt Jr. and wife Maxine of Hickory, her 3 daughters Margaret B. Keller and Louise B. Moser both of Kannapolis and Nancy B. Harwood and husband Dean of China Grove, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, and a sister-in-law Katherine Wike of Kannapolis.
