Beulah Lois Severt

Obituary: Mrs. Beulah Lois Severt, 83, of Kannapolis, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at her home. Lois was born February 14, 1933 in Wilkes Co. to the late Garnett Edgar Greer and Avis Church Greer. She worked at Cannon Mills Plant #1 for 20 year until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, she sang in the choir and a Sunday school teacher. Lois was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by a son Calvin David Severt in 2002, and also two brothers Herbert Edgar Greer, William Lee Greer, and one sister Shirley Ann Lambert. Those left to cherish her memory, her husband of 50 years Paul Severt, one son, Thomas Severt of Charlotte, two daughters Beatrice Severt of Charlotte, and Sylvia Bradley of Mooresville, one sister, Martha V. Lewis of Creston, eight grandchildren Kevin Howell, Kelli Howell, Dallas Severt Stancil, Josh Severt, Sunshine Alexander, Walter Thomas, Catrina Acree, Alison Thomas, and 15 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00-2:00 PM (March 14) at Central Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM at the church with Rev. Curtis Parker officiating; burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
