Beverly Ann Lord

Obituary: Beverly Ann Brown Lord, 64, of Kannapolis passed away Wednesday August 29, 2018 at her residence with her father by her side. She was born July 18, 1954 in Cabarrus County a daughter of Lircey Lee Brown and the late Elsie (McDuffie) Brown. Beverly was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School & Central Piedmont Community College. Out of college she began a career in optometry. After the birth of her children, she stayed home to care for them, teach piano lessons, and volunteer at her church. Although, she battled with Multiple Sclerosis, she enjoyed going to the beach, spending time with friends, and visiting her daughters & especially her granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 1, 2018 in the Annex Chapel at Whitley's Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Rick Shafer. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Family members left to cherish her memory are her father, Lircey Brown, daughters, Megan Lord Petersen (Lucas), Lauren Lord Urban (Stephen) and granddaughter, Hadley Urban, three brothers, Philip Brown, Steve Brown, Eric Brown (Lisa), nephews, Sam & John, and many cousins and friends.
