Billie Rogers Fisher

Obituary: Billie Kathryn Rogers Fisher, 87, of Concord passed away March 17, 2019 at Morningside of Concord. She was born July 29, 1931 in Greensboro, a daughter of the late Harmon Rogers and Louise Batts. She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, James Albert Fisher, Sr. and her daughter, Sharon Fisher Moran. Billie loved to travel and had been a tour director for Christian Tours for 16 years. She traveled to 16 countries along with every state in the US. She went to Disney world 79 times. Billie also loved racing, especially Dale, Jr. and was an avid baseball fan, especially the Atlanta Braves. She loved Chipper Jones and Bobby Cox. She loved spending time with her family, whether it was cooking for family gatherings and holidays or being at her grandchildren's ballgames or activities. She was a member of Shadybrook Baptist Church for over 60 years. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Shadybrook Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Charlie Littlejohn. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum. Her family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 PM prior at church. Billie is survived by her son, James A. Fisher, Jr (Penny), daughter, Becky Barrier (Tim), 7 grandchildren, Rich Cress, Jennifer Barrier, Amanda Strickland, Trey Fisher, Jera Barrier Linker, Emily Fisher, Timothy Barrier, Jr. 11 great grandchildren and her sister, Barbara Anderson (Melvin). The family would like to thank the staff at Morningside for their love and care shown to Billie and her family.
