Billie Corine (Morris) Jordan

August 2, 1930 — September 19, 2022

Billie Corine Morris Jordan, 92, of Concord, went home to her Lord and Savior early Monday morning, September 19, 2022 at her home with her family. Bille was born August 2, 1930 in Kannapolis, NC to the late James Oliver Morris, and Margaret Castor Morris. She graduated from J.W. Cannon High School and was married to the late Robert Coleman Jordan, Jr.
Billie and husband, Bob, along with friends, Richard and Kathryn London, owned and operated the Stop & Shop grocery markets in Cabarrus and Stanley Counties. After the stores were sold, she worked 17 years at J.C. Penny until her retirement. Her favorite pastime was spending time in her yard gardening and tending to her many plants and flowers. She was a faithful member of her church and sang in the church choir. She cared for her own mother, her husband, her brother in law, and sister through long term illnesses before they passed.
Those left to cherish Billie's memory are son Robert Jordan III (Tammy) of Concord, daughter Debbie Clay (Dean) of Concord, three grandchildren; Laurie Flora, Jennifer Wedner, Neal Clay, eight great grandchildren; Jordan Flora, Payton Flora, Cole Wedner, Callie Wedner, Cooper Wedner, Whitley Clay, Nora Clay, and Emmitt Clay; niece Kimmi Morris Butler of Oklahoma City, Ok, and Lee Howard Morris of Honolulu, Hawaii.
A celebration of Billie's life will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, September 23, 2022 at Bethpage United Methodist Church, Kannapolis. The Reverend Gary Macdonald and Duane Melton will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at 11:00am at the church.
