Billy Ross Durham

Obituary: Billy Ross Durham, 85, of Kannapolis, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at his home. He was born August 16, 1931 in Cabarrus County to the late Howard Chester Durham and Della Story Durham. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday (Sept. 26) at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Whitley's Funeral Home, at other times the family will receive friends at 8193 Smith Road, "Enochville" Kannapolis, NC the home of Joyce Larrimore. Bill worked for many years at Iron Work Construction, he enjoyed fishing and traveling and often did both, he loved fishing at the Outer Banks for the last 55 years. Preceding him in death, his wife Sarah Grace Hoffner Durham of 57 years, brothers, Guy Franklin Durham, Thomas Durham, sister, Nancy Reynolds and a daughter, Sandy Viola Durham. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Larry Ross Durham and wife Treva of Round Rock, TX, Karen Broadway of Concord, Billy Randall Durham and wife Tiny of Kannapolis, one brother Howard Chester Durham Jr., one sister Joyce Larrimore both of Kannapolis, seven grandchildren, and 15 Great-grandchildren.
