Obituary: Billy Donald Jordan, 77, of 115 White Avenue died Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at CMC-NorthEast, Concord. Death was unexpected. He was born March 14, 1933 in Franklin County, Ga. son of the late Harvey Lee and Verba Chastain Jordan. Donald was a supervisor of the dye dept. at Cannon Mills Plt. #1 for almost 30 years. He later did part time carpentry work. He was an active member of Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church where he was a member of the Young at Hearts, the Brotherhood, and sang in the choir. He served as an usher and a greeter for 20 years. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening . A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 P.M. Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church conducted by Rev. Jimmy Barnhill and Rev. Ralph Adams. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 4:00-6:00 P.M. prior to the Memorial Service. He is survived by his wife: Shirley Geneva Strickland Jordan, whom he married July 28, 1957, three sons: James Michael Jordan and wife Angie, Donald Wayne Jordan and wife Dawn, Timothy Dale Jordan and wife Debbie; all of Kannapolis. Grandchildren, Alan Thomas Jordan, Billy Daniel Jordan, Keagan Skyler Jordan, Rachael Elizabeth Jordan, Michaela Ellen Jordan, Morganne Elyse Jordan, Raine Kelsy Collins and special grandchildren: Paige E. Crowell, Allison T. Vannoy, Anthony D. Vannoy and Amber E. Vannoy. Daniel is also survived by one sister: Lavonda Griffin of Landis, and three brothers: Vernon Jordan and wife Michelle, Ned Jordan and wife Glenda, all of China Grove and Terry Jordan of Cooleemee. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1008 Moose Road, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
