Billy Kiser

Obituary: Billy John Kiser, 81, of Concord went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Tucker Hospice House following a period of declining health. Billy was born August 23, 1937 in Cabarrus County, NC a son of the late Carl Daniel Kiser and Mary Lois Benton Kiser. Billy worked for Fieldcrest-Cannon and retired from General Electric. He was an avid stock car fan. He drove at Concord Speedway and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed professional football and fishing. Billy was a ham radio operator who made many friends from all over the world. Family members left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Kay Overcash Kiser of the Home, a son, Damon Kiser and wife Jeanie of Charlotte, a daughter; Donna Spry and husband Cotton of Concord, one granddaughter, Deana Braddock, and one great-great granddaughter Addison Thompson. Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Carolina Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Tim Newton. The family will speak to friends at the cemetery following the service. The family requests that memorials be made to the Humane Society of Concord and Greater Cabarrus County, 2010 Wilshire Ct SW, Concord, NC 28025, or to Christian Fellowship Church, 1501 Central Dr. Kannapolis, NC 28083.
