Billy Lisk

Obituary: Billy Reed Lisk, 78, of 102 Orchard Ave., Kannapolis died at his home on Saturday, March 10, 2012. Mr. Lisk was born in Cabarrus Co., NC on August 22, 1933, the son of the late, Elmo Lisk and the late Inez Jones Lisk. In addition to his parents, Billy is preceded in death by a son, Tommy Talbert; a daughter, Kathy Cole and a grandson, Brandon Talbert. Billy loved music, especially Gospel Music. He dearly loved his family and his canine friend, True. He was the happiest when watching old war movies and documentaries about "the war". He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Murph Lisk of the home; a son, David Talbert of Kannapolis; a daughter, Janice Barnhardt of Kannapolis; 2 grandchildren, Diana Holcomb and David Barnhardt and 2 great-grandchildren, Jacey and Weston Holcomb. The funeral for Mr. Lisk will take place on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel in Kannapolis conducted by Matthew Weaver. Burial will take place at Carolina Mem. Park. The family will receive friends at Whitley's on Monday, March 12th from 7 to 9:00 p.m. Mrs. Lisk would like to thank her children, grandchildren, neighbors, friends, and all who offered prayers and a helping hand during these difficult days with Billy.
