Obituary: Billy Ray "Bud" Richardson, age 39 of 905 Skyland St. died unexpectedly from injuries received from being hit by a train on Saturday November 27, 2009. There will be a Reception celebrating Billy Ray's Life at Whitley's Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Born October 15, 1970 in Rowan Co., Billy Ray was the son of Donald Ray and Judy Gainey Richardson of Kannapolis. He was educated in the Cabarrus Co. Schools and drove a Dump Truck for various Grading and Hauling Companies until his disability prevented it. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Spencer. In addition to his parents he is survived by his grandmother Sadie Rebecca Gainey and his brother, Brian Keith Richardson ; his sisters, Belinda Richardson Harris, Beatrice Darlene Rogers and Benita Amaris Morris and 3 nephews and 2 nieces. He loved his God and his family, and he loved his nieces and nephews with all his heart. Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com.
