Billy Shockley

Obituary: Billy Ray Shockley, 68, went home to be with the Lord Saturday February 15, 2014 at his residence. Bill was born September 30, 1945 in Spartanburg, County SC to the late Clarence Lee Shockley, Jr. and Margaret Moore Shockley who survives. He retired from Phillip Morris, was a member of the Potter's House Fellowship, and was an avid bowler having bowled in the nationals. Survivors other than his mother include his wife, Kathy Griffin Shockley; step-son, Chris Linker (Erin); two grandchildren, Crystal Shockley Ortiz and Layna Shae Linker; three great- grandchildren; a sister, Judith Shockley Immers (Art); one niece; and two nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his father; and two children, Tommy James Shockley and Donna Marie Shockley. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday February 19, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Allen Hess officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
