Billy James Wiles

Obituary: Billy James Wiles, 83, of Kannapolis died Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Tucker Hospice House after a brief period of declining health. His funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, August 22 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 to 12:00 PM prior to the funeral. Billy was born October 31, 1934 in Cabarrus Co., the son of the late Russell Belvin Wiles and Minnie Jane Marshall Wiles. He was a life-long area resident and graduate of A.L. Brown High School, Class of 1952. Billy was a proud veteran of the US Air Force. Billy lived his life on his terms. He loved to shoot pool and play golf and he enjoyed watching football and racing on TV. Billy was a loving brother and friend. He will be deeply missed. Those remaining to cherish his memories include his 3 sisters; Arlene W. Helms, Vina Carol Wiles and Dorothea Mae W.
