Obituary: Billy Ray Wilhelm, 82, of Mooresville passed away on October 8, 2013 at his home. He was born December 27, 1930 in Cabarrus County, the son of the late Thomas and Ila Innis Wilhelm. Bill was the founder and co-owner of Kannapolis Sprinkler Company. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, Oct. 10th at West Lawn Memorial Park. He is survived by his brother, John Wilhelm, his sister, Dot Helms, a number of nieces and nephews, his companion of 38 years, Joann Underwoood and her children, Jeff Underwood (Lori), Joel Underwood (Dawna) and Susan Eurey (Jim).
