Billy White Wise

Obituary: Billy White Wise, 80, of China Grove passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Tucker Hospice House. He was born August 26, 1933 and was the son of the late Earl Bernard and Margaret White Wise. He was a 1951 graduate of Landis High School. Bill was self-employed in the China Grove /Landis community for over 50 years and had been owner and operator of Wise Oil Co. since 1976. He was a faithful member of Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church. Family members left to cherish his memory include his wife of 62 years, Jettie Leazer Wise, his son, Tony Wise and wife Tammy of China Grove, his daughter, Jane Wise Crosby and husband Mike of China Grove, grandchildren; Kelly, Erin, Jessi, Katie and Jacob, great granddaughters, Sophie and Josie, brother, Gerald Wise of China Grove and sister, Sue Epley of Lexington. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM Tuesday, Oct. 29th at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church officiated by Rev. Ken Reed and Rev. Dr. Larry Bost. The family will receive friends after the service in the Family Life Center. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund, 185 Concordia Church Rd., China Grove, NC 28023 or Tucker Hospice House, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
