Blanche Davis Deason

Obituary: Dorothy Blanche Davis Deason, 91, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the Kaiser Hospice House. Blanche was born April 27, 1923 Iredell County to the late William S. Davis and Josie Curley Davis. She was married to the late Johnny Lee Deason who preceded her in 2001. She was a member of West Corinth Baptist Church, a homemaker, and a resident of Carillon Assisted Living Center in Salisbury. Survivors include her special nieces and nephew; Judy (James) Mechum of Landis, Kay Fisher of Harrisburg, and Sonny Blackwelder of Landis; a sister, Lucille Blackwelder (Nathan) of Landis; a special caregiver, Bonnie Fowler; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Glen Davis. A funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel with the Rev. Robert Suttles officiating. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:45-12:45 p.m. prior to the service.
