Bobbie Jean Brantley Hudson, RN, CPHQ, CMM, 66 years old, of Kannapolis, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 29, 2023. Bobbie was born on November 28, 1956, in Cabarrus County to the late Charles and Patricia Shinn Brantley.
Bobbie loved being in the Sun, either at the beach, the mountains, or Lake Norman. She liked to make different crafts, but especially enjoyed making dolls and knitting. She was an avid fashion lover as well. Bobbie loved her two Yorkies, Jessie, and Gage very much.
Bobbie was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School in 1976. She then attended Pfeiffer University, then continued her nursing education at Louise Harkey School of Nursing in Concord. While working through her career, she continued her education, and received her Master’s degree. Bobbie began her nursing career as an Emergency Room nurse at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. She was quickly recognized for her ability to lead and started the Utilization Quality Program. One of Bobbies strengths was the ability to create a team that could work together to accomplish goals. She always desired that quality services and outcomes were provided. She obtained many certifications during her tenure but most proudly the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality. She was an integral part in building the foundation of the Case Management Department and worked closely with The Joint Commission. With all her knowledge she transitioned into the role of Practice Manager for Northeast Neurology but continued to strive for quality in every patient encounter. Bobbie built many quality programs and mentored many nurses in her career. Through this her legacy will live own through them.
Bobbie was predeceased by her parents and her son, Matthew Charles Hudson in 2007. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 43 years, Gil Hudson; her son, Nick Hudson and his wife Katherine; her brother, Jimmy Brantley and his wife Gwyn; her sisters, Lisa Propst and her husband Billy and Marie Ramseur; her brothers-in-law; Phil Hudson and his wife Jill, and Paul “Craig” Hudson and his girlfriend Teresa; her sister-in-law, Jan H. Bryant and her husband David; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 3-4pm at St. John’s Reformed Church, 901 N Main St, Kannapolis, with a memorial service celebrating her life to being at 4pm. Interment of her cremated remains will be held privately at Carolina Memorial Park at a later date.
