Bobbie Gibson Ketner

Obituary: Bobbie Gibson Ketner passed away March 10 , 2016 at the Brian Center, where she had been residing for physical rehabilitation for five weeks and in declining health for two weeks. She was born in Chesterfield County in South Carolina to the late Dave and Lucy Gibson. She lived most of her life in Kannapolis and Concord and was educated in the Kannapolis school system. She loved life to the fullest. Her prized treasures were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Ketner Sr. and her brother, Floyd Gibson. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Pam McKenzie (J.C.), her son Fred Ketner Jr (Sherry). grandchildren, Matthew Drye (Christie), Zachary Ketner (Blair), Jordan Ketner, and great grandchildren, Kaelie Drye, Parker Ketner, Hadley Ketner and a new one to arrive in September. She is also survived by her brother, Carson Gibson (Pat). Her service will be held at Whitley's Funeral Home in the Chapel on Saturday March 19, 2016 with visitation from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm and the service following at 2:00 pm. Pastor Raymond Davis from Solid Rock Worship Center will preside over the service. This was the church where she was a member.
