Bobby Franklin Huie

Obituary: Bobby Franklin Huie 82, of Concord, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Brian Center in Concord following a brief stay. Mr. Huie was born on March 16, 1932 in Iredell County a son of the late Otto P. and Ethel Mundy Huie. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Lucy Steen, and two brothers, Roy C. and Robert L. Huie. He was formerly employed as a merchant marine aboard an oil tanker with the former Esso-Standard Oil Co. Private services will be held at a later date. Whitley's funeral home is assisting the Huie family. He is survived by his son; Tim Huie and wife Lori of Concord, grandchildren; Heath Huie and wife Laura, Hunter, Hannah, and Harrison Huie, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend Betty Hill of Concord.
