Obituary: Concord, NC- Bobby Gene Moore, age 59, went to Heaven peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC with family by his side. Bobby was born February 5, 1955 in Owensboro, KY, the son of the late J.D. Moore of Kentucky and Martha Lacefield Shoemaker and also his step-father, Kenneth Shoemaker. He was a 1973 graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School where he played football. Bobby was employed as a painter for many years having worked for various building contractors. He loved riding his motorcycle anywhere especially to the beach. In addition to his parents he also is preceded in death by his grandmother, Fronia Ewing Lacefield; a sister, Linda Whitley Sherrer; and just recently his best friend, Herman Love who lived in Rockwell, NC. Survivors include his sister, Janice Ritchie & husband, Tony Ritchie of Concord, NC; his nephew, Jeff Ritchie of Concord, NC; and his special friends, Joyce Ritchie and Cindy Love. The family would like to say a special thanks to Universal Healthcare and staff especially Dr. Duggal for their special love and care that Bobby received; the Tucker Hospice House and their staff for their excellent care that they also gave to Bobby; and to Rev. Darrell Coble and Rev. Gary Posey for their special visits during this most difficult time in his life. Memorials may be made to Victory Temple, 3101 Cline School Road, Concord, NC 28025.
