Bobby P. Shinn

Obituary: Bobby P. Shinn, 86, of Rockwell, NC died on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System-NorthEast in Concord. Mr. Shinn was born in Dec. 14, 1930 in Cabarrus Co., son of the late Elmer W. and Ruth Lee Elliott Shinn. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife. Betty F. Shinn. Mr. Shinn was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in Guam during the Korean War. He was a member of Rock Grove Methodist Church in Salisbury and was a Cost Accountant for Kendall Co. A memorial service for Mr. Shinn will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 10th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 before the service at Whitley's. Survivors include his son, Steve Shinn of Spartanburg, SC and his daughter, Dawn Walker of Rockwell, 7 grandchildren , 13 great-grandchildren and his brother, Bud L.Shinn.
