Bobby "Bob" Gene Casper

Bobby Gene “Bob” Casper , age 88, of Concord, passed away at Tucker Hospice House on Thursday, August 5, 2021 after a period of declining health.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Bob was born August 31, 1932 in Cabarrus Co., a son of the late John B. and Mary Ellen Safrit Casper. He was a lifelong area resident and member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Bob retired from Western Electric/AT&T as a warehouse manager. Later he worked for Lowe’s in Concord as a manager and owned and operated Casper’s Custom Cabinetry in Concord.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jane Harkey Casper, his second wife, Mary Sue Brazzel Casper, his brothers, Lee, Smoot, Wilson, Roy and Jerry Casper and his sister, Mary Ellen “Babe Casper along with a step-son Barry Jordan.

He is survived by his daughters, Linda C. Harwood (Bobby) of Concord and Sheila C. Sheppard (Farrell) of Vilas, his grandchildren, Aaron Harwood, Melissa H. Shue (Michael), Leslie S. Hall (Brandon) and Jamie S. Truelove (Evan) and great-grandchildren, Grayson, Bennett and Tucker Hall and his sister, Jane Casper Faggart and a step son Hal Jordan and wife Libby.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081, because of the loving care shown to Bob.
