Obituary: Bonnie White Haga Cox of Salisbury died Friday, March 29, 2013 at Genesis Health Care in Salisbury after a period of declining health. A funeral service will be held at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 with Rev. Nelson Wright and Rev. Lother Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Bonnie was born April 6, 1925 in Alexander Co. a daughter of the late Arthur C. and Cordie Teague White. She attended Alexander Co. Schools. Bonnie was a homemaker to her family and worked for Terry Products Inc. for over 20 years. Bonnie came from a musically talented family and she played the bass guitar for Victory Baptist Church where she was a long time member. Bonnie played for several churches in the area, Roberta Baptist Church, Whitepark Baptist Church, Temple Baptist Church, Bible Missionary Baptist Church, Faith Baptist Church, Memorial Baptist Church, and Victory Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her brother, Kelly White. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 47 years, Henry Lee Cox of the home, her Children; Judy Hoffman (Greg) of China Grove, Danny Haga (Judy) of Kannapolis and Kay Harrison (David) of Lexington, her sister, Myrtle Roberts of Midland, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
