Obituary: David Bradley (Brad) Thompson, 43 of Kannapolis passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 at CMC-NorthEast. His death was unexpected. Brad was born in Cabarrus County on January 25, 1970 the son of the late Larry W. and Jo Long Thompson. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jack and Jessie Thompson. Brad was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School and was currently employed by Pike Electric in Virginia Beach, VA. He was known for his great sense of humor and loved being at the beach. Brad enjoyed music, his job, being with friends, hanging with his Nan and Dude, his baby Z, and eating at the Stag and Doe. Brad was very spiritual and often attended different churches with friends. He was a great brother, uncle, grandson and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Brad is survived by his sister; Laura Glader and husband Eric of Menlo Park, CA., a niece; Grace, a nephew; Nils, twin uncles; Kim and Sam Long and paternal grandparents; Sammie & Luke Long of Kannapolis. Private services celebrating Brad's life will be held at a later date. Whitley's Funeral Home is assisting the family.
