Obituary: On September 16, 2015, God took an angel. Brandon Keith Thomas, 21, passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2015. He was a larger than life person. Brandon loved music and was a talented songwriter, singer and musician. Anyone who knew him, knew he always had a song to sing and always had his guitar in his hand. A funeral service will be held to celebrate his life at 2:30 PM Sunday, September 20 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel with Rev. Joey Spry and Rev. Rob Fenske officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. His family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 PM Sunday in Whitley's Annex Chapel. Brandon was born August 20, 1994 in Nashville, TN, a son of Timothy R. Thomas and Carolyn Proctor Dellinger, both of Kannapolis. Brandon was a graduate of A. L. Brown High School, class of 2012 and he attended Fisher Street Baptist Church. He enjoyed working beside and spending time with his family. He loved and was loved by his family and will be dearly missed. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother and step-father, Carolyn and Steve Dellinger; his father and step-mother, Timmy and Lisa Thomas, all of Kannapolis; 4 brothers, Cameron Thomas, Steven Dellinger, Jr., Andrew Thomas and Nate Royston; and a sister, Madison Thomas. Brandon was also survived by his loving grandparents, Patricia Downs, Joe and Rickie Sheets and Bill and Connie Dellinger; all of Kannapolis as well as his aunts, uncles and many cousins.
