Brenda Jane Wike Brown

Obituary: Brenda Jane Wike Brown, 73, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House following a period of declining health. She was born April 4, 1942 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late James Atlee Wike and Daisy Lewis Wike. She was also preceded in death by a brother David Wike. Brenda was of the Baptist Faith. She was employed at Brendle's until their closing. She enjoyed work, her family, going to Las Vegas and playing bingo. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Richard W. Brown of the Home, one daughter, Cheri Rene Chaney (Douglas) of Kannapolis, one sister, Kay Morris (Thomas) of Concord, and three grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Dennis Morgan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral. At other times they will be at the residence. Entombment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park Plaza Mausoleum.
