Obituary: Brenda Mae Jackson Freeman, 75, of Kannapolis passed away on January 5, 2019 at her home. She was born December 23, 1943 in Surry County, a daughter of the late Harry Joseph Jackson and Mary Garris Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Freeman and sisters, Peggy Hayes, Mary Frances Jackson, Elizabeth "Monk" Blevins and Shirley Darlene Fosdal. Brenda loved spending time with her family and was known as "Nan-e" to everyone. She loved Jesus with all her heart. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved her Molly girl. She loved taking care of others and serving. She is survived by three children, Darryl " Dino" Wayne Jackson (Remona), Robbie Freeman Jackson, Robbin Freeman, 7 grandchildren, Kevin, Keshia, Alyson, Kameron, Kennedy, Carlee, Mary, 2 greatgrandchildren, Adelynn, Alex and a brother, James Franklin Jackson. A celebration of life will be at 12:30 PM Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Mike Jefferson. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory in Winston-Salem at 3:00 PM.
