Brenda was born January 25, 1943, in Stanly Co., the daughter of the late Marvin James and Evelyn Louise Talley Love. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Thomas Morgan of the home, her daughters Tammy Griffin and husband Mike of Stanfield and Talisa Linker of Locust. Brenda was the proud grandmother (Nina) of 4 grandchildren Emily Griffin Douglas (Brandon), Jerrika Linker Mullinix (Matthew), Brooke Griffin Hartsell (Jacob), and Nadalee Linker along with 5 great-grandchildren Addilyn Mae Hartsell, Ellis Claire Mullinix, Taryn Hensley Douglas, Robert Tate Douglas, and Tripp Allen Mullinix. Brenda was pre-deceased by her son-in-law, Allen Linker
A life-long area resident of Stanfield, Brenda worked for Cannon Mills then American Lockstitch for many years until her health declined. When her mother, Evelyn, was diagnosed with Cancer she attended Stanly Community College and earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) designation. She used this education to care for her Mom, Dad, and many other family members.
A wonderful cook and baker, Brenda and her good friend, Elaine Rushing catered for many weddings and other events. She loved to bake cakes and share with family and friends. Her favorite comfort meal was Fried Potatoes, Pinto Beans, and Cornbread.
Brenda loved to shop and find bargains. Never without a wardrobe of bright colors and bold patterns, Brenda was always happiest when her daughters, granddaughters, and great-grandchildren were around. Whether it was the many picnics, sleepovers, or random trips to the creek, she made sure there was plenty of fun and memories made.
Blessed with a green thumb, Brenda’s yard was a masterpiece of blooms from Spring to Fall. Her yard has an abundance of Buttercups, Calla Lilies, and Day Lilies. She was always looking for new and different flowers to plant. Best of all, she loved to share with others.
Though her Earthly presence will be missed and grieved, Brenda is rejoicing with Jesus.
