Brenda Simpson

Obituary: Brenda Gail Simmons Simpson went home to be with the Lord from her earthly residence on Monday, August 27, 2012 following a period of declining health. She was born January 3, 1946 in Surry County, NC a daughter of the late Robert Columbus and Annie Ruth Simmons. She was a graduate of the North Surry High School in Mt. Airy and was married to Billy Jefferson Simpson on January 25, 1964. They made their home on Debbie Circle in Kannapolis where she resided. Survivors include one daughter, DeAnna Lynn Simpson Lear (Harold) of Kannapolis and son, Robert Jefferson Simpson (Stephanie) of the Home. She is also survived by one sister, Bobbie Jean Hummel (Paul) of Chocowinity, NC and seven grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Rick and Dick Simmons. She was a homemaker and a faithful member and prayer warrior of Memorial Independent Baptist Church in Landis. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Memorial Independent Baptist Church conducted by her son, Jeff Simpson , pastor of the church and Pastor Chris Pethel of Corriher Heights Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. At other times they will be at the residence.
