Brendel (Campfield) Pruitte

Brendel Gertrude Campfield Pruitte, 69, of Mooresville, went into her heavenly home on March 31, 2021.

Brendel was born on May 26, 1951 in Buncombe County, NC. She was a daughter of the late Ralph Campfield and Sue Griffin Campfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Campfield Jr.

Brendel loved spending time outside gardening flowers and writing poetry. She was lovingly known for being a prankster, but she was also one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. She was fond of playing the lottery and slots, as well as going fishing and shopping. She had a special place in her heart for her Jack Russell Terrier, Sofie. Most of all, she dearly loved and took great care of her family. Her genuine, thoughtful, and kind nature will never be forgotten.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 21 years, Ron Pruitte; two sons, Gerald (Chrissy) McDaniel and Ronald (Danna) McDaniel; five grandchildren, Jesse McDaniel, Dillon McDaniel, Darrin McDaniel, Ashton McDaniel, Shelby McDaniel; one great-grandchild, Easton McDaniel, and sister, Ann Griffin.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Whitley’s Funeral Home. The funeral service honoring her life will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Whitley’s Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Morgan officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
