Brianna Marie Simpson

Brianna Marie Simpson, 21, of Kannapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday morning, September 10, 2020, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Brianna was born August 6, 1999, in Concord, a daughter of Heath Allyn Simpson and Rachel Coy Simpson, of Kannapolis.  She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Garell Simpson, and her maternal grandmother, Sue Coy.

A graduate of AL Brown High, Brianna’s strong will, work ethic and friendly demeanor served her well as a loyal employee of Amazon, where she was a personal assistant.  Known to her coworkers as “Sunshine”, she always gifted others with her wonderful and beautiful smile. She loved all of her family and absolutely adored her daughter, Brylee, who she often took camping, skating and hiking. A devoted and loving mother, daughter, sister and friend of many, Brianna will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family members left to cherish Brianna’s memory, in addition to her parents, include her daughter, Brylee Marie Wilhelm; her sister, Haley Simpson; her brother, Peyton Simpson; paternal grandmother, Jeri Simpson; maternal grandfather, Jeffrey Eshbaugh; cousins, Morgan Jones, Chandler Broome, Amanda and Ashley Coy; Summer Menius, and Ethan, Eli and Katie Lambert; aunts, Kristin Simpson, Gloria Lambert (Jody), and Stephanie Menius; uncles, Stephen Cornelius and Gabriel Simpson; great uncles, David and James Coy; numerous aunts, uncles and extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 pm Saturday, September 19th at Whitley’s Funeral Home.  Services to remember and celebrate the life of Brianna will begin at 5:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
