Obituary: Bruce Wayne Kiser 75, formerly of Kannapolis, NC passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at The Tucker Hospice House. He fought a long hard battle for the last two years due to being diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who had an infectious smile, always joking and enjoying life. He loved his family and enjoyed being with his children, grandchildren and friends. For many years he worked as a sewing machine mechanic and also with 3M Corporation in Concord, NC as a textile technician. Mr. Kiser was born November 23, 1941 in Concord, NC to the late Annie Belle Staton Kiser and William "Bill" Kiser. In 1979, he married Glenda Gail Lewis Kiser. They had one child, Bruce Chad Kiser in 1981 who was deceased at birth. In addition, he had three children from a previous marriage, Darrell James Kiser of Salisbury, NC Pam McMullen (Matt) of Canton, GA, Tina Barringer (Chris) of China Grove, NC. Step Children included: Joe Strickland (Sherry) China Grove, NC, Tammy Burke (Michael) of Salisbury, NC. He had many grandchildren that he loved and adored: Darrell James Kiser, Jr. Taylor, Katie and Jacob Barrringer, Zach Livengood, Bryan and Andrew Burke, Amelia Ledbetter, Makayla, Jenna and Janna Strickland. He also had two precious great granddaughters, Riley Jo and Peyton Kiser. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017 in the Annex Chapel at Whitley's Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Ervin conducting the services.
