Buddy Gene Eberhart

Obituary: Dateline: Kannapolis, NC Buddy Gene Eberhart, 67, of Kannapolis, died at Carolina Specialty Hospital in Charlotte on Sunday, April 4, 2010. Mr. Eberhart was born on March 6, 1943 in Madison Co., GA, the son of the late George Alton Eberhart and the late Emma Sue Dodd Eberhart. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Lois Eberhart Ross. Buddy was a member of Blackwelder Park Baptist Ch. and had worked for 45 years with the former Cannon Mills Co. where he worked in the # 1, Slasher Room of Plant 1. He was an outdoorsman and loved gardening. Mr. Eberhart is survived by his wife, Janice Kay Raper Eberhart of the home. 1 daughter, Jannetta Eberhart of Kannapolis and 1 son, Dennis Eberhart and wife, Melissa of Kannapolis. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren; Hayden and Troy Eberhart and a sister, Glenda E. Jordan of Kannapolis. The funeral service for Mr. Eberhart is planned for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Roger Head and Dr. Keith Slough. Interment will be at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove, NC. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home from 1-2:30 before the service.
