Obituary: Calvin Donald Cevaal, 87, of Harrisburg, formerly of Lake Worth, Fla. passed away Sunday May 11, 2014 at Five Oaks Manor, Concord following a period of declining health. He was born September 11, 1926 in Sheboygan Co., Wis. Calvin was a member of Rocky River Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg. He was a veteran of WW2 serving with the US Navy and the US Coast Guard. He was a retired stockbroker with AG Edwards Company. While living in Lake Worth he was a past president of the Rotary, and the first president of Lake Worth Christian School. Interment services will be 12:00 P.M. Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC conducted by a VA chaplain with military honors by the Rowan County Honor Guard. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Cevaal of the home, two daughters, Allison Edge (James) and Michele Fritts (Robert), one son, William Cevaal (Julie), two step-daughters, Katheryn Emerson and Rebecca Varrier-Watt (Don), sister, Carol Mead (Donald), nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded him in death were a brother, John Cevaal, sister, Connie Ottenhoff, grandson, Jason Varrier and step-daughter, Kitty Rose.
