Calvin W. Henry

Obituary: Calvin W. Henry, age 90, of Kannapolis passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Henry was born October 13, 1927 in Mecklenburg County the son of the late Franklin Bert Henry and Cora Estelle Price Henry. He retired from Winn Dixie. Calvin was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church. He loved fishing, taking care of his yard and tending to his red roses. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his first wife Pauline Henry; daughter Linda Moss; grandson Tad Moss and his 9 brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Betty Henry whom he married June 12, 2006; 3 grandchildren; special brother-in-law Paul Roach and special godson Curtis Roach. Visitation will be from 1-2:00 PM Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Whitley's Funeral Home with service at 2:00 PM in Whitley's Memorial Chapel conducted by Pastor Joe Smith.
