Calvin D. Honeycutt

Obituary: Calvin D. Honeycutt, 80, 0f Kannapolis passed away on December 24, 2015 at the Tucker Hospice House. He was born November 20, 1935 in Anson County, the son of the late William Rufus Honeycutt and Glennie Clara Lee Honeycutt. Calvin had formerly worked at the Cannon YMCA for many years and also at Cannon Mills Company. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church. He loved animals and was an avid reader. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Roger W. Storms. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Monday at Whitley's. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Sloop Honeycutt, son, Jeffrey Lee Honeycutt, sister, Ruby Efird and nephew, Ronnie Honeycutt.
