Cameron O'Neil Lackey

Cameron O’Neil Lackey, 31 of Midland, NC went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 29, 2024

Cameron was born August 3, 1993, in Cabarrus County, N.C, a son of Jamie Lackey and was raised by his mother, Shannon Phillips and stepfather Scott Phillips of China Grove.

He was employed as a pipe layer with Zoladz’s Construction. He enjoyed riding four wheelers and going to the beach. 

Cameron had a good sense of humor and was known as quite the jokester!

He was the type of person who would help anyone and was very caring and giving. Cameron dearly loved his family.

Surviving family members include his wife Yaneli Rodriquez Lackey, three daughters; Annabella Bezdziecki, Emma Rodriquez, and Liliana Lackey. Another daughter, Gemma Rae Lackey, is expected to arrive in March. He is also survived by two brothers Jeramie Lackey and Scott Phillips, Jr. 

 A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025, from 4:00 P.M.-5:30 P.M. at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
