Carl F. Hartsoe

Obituary: Carl F. Hartsoe, 76, of 2308 Dawson St., Kannapolis, died at Universal Health Care in Concord on Saturday, March 20, 2010. Born on April 23, 1933 in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late Fred Lee Hartsoe and the late Betty Sue James Hartsoe. He was a graduate of Odell School which he looked forward to their reunions. He was a member of Bethpage Methodist Church and a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Odell Lions Club and had retired from Pillowtex Mill. Carl also was the owner/operater of Midway Beauty Shop. He is survived by his wife, Mary Measmer Hartsoe of the home and 2 daughters; Vickie Goodman and husband, Billy of Salisbury & Donnie Andrew and husband, Keith of Hendersonville, NC. By 3 grandchildren; Dillon Goodman, Chelsea Goodman & Joshua Andrews. Also by 2 sisters; Betty Hartsoe Harper of Kannapolis & Peggy Hartsoe Smith of Lexington, NC. The funeral for Mr. Hartsoe will take place at 3p.m. Tuesday, March 23rd at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Bruce Sheets. Burial will take place at Carolina Mem. Park wiath military graveside rites conducted by the D.A.V. chapter 27. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 Tuesday before the service at Whitley's.
