Carl Pieper

Obituary: Carl J. Pieper, 59 of Kannapolis passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at CMC-Main in Charlotte, NC. His death was unexpected. Carl was born on July 9, 1954 in Stevens Point (Portage County) WI, the son of the late Norbert and Clara Konter Pieper. Carl was the owner of Global Cleaning Services Inc. of Kannapolis. He was an avid bow hunter and president of Big Oak Archery Club. Carl was a diehard Packers and Badgers fan. He enjoyed spending time in Bonaire with family and friends as well as a good cigar and brandy. He will be remembered for his big heart, sense of humor, and kindness he shared with everyone. Carl attended Journey United Methodist Church and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service to celebrate Carl's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home main chapel with Chaplin Kris Baylor officiating. Those left to cherish Carl's memory are his wife; Gail M. Hutchens Pieper of the home, a son; Nathan C. Pieper and fiancé Megan Postell of Tobaccoville, a daughter; Sara A. Pieper and partner Sam Gillespie of Kannapolis, grandchildren; Ava, Mason and Ellie, sister; Bev Stickler and husband Peter of San Francisco, CA, and nephews; Nick Stickler and wife Lisa, and Ben Stickler and wife Shannon.
